How to Fill GATE 2026 Application Form

- Go to the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal – (link will be provided on the official GATE 2026 website hosted by IIT Guwahati).
- Click on “New User? Register Here”.
- Enter your Full Name (as per ID proof), valid Email ID, and Mobile Number.
- Create a strong password and complete registration.
- You will receive an Enrollment ID via email/SMS.
- Use your Enrollment ID / Email ID and Password to log in.
- Candidate’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, Category (General/OBC/SC/ST/EWS), PwD status (if applicable).
- Communication Address and Educational Qualification details.
- Choose one subject paper you wish to appear for.
- Select up to 3 exam cities in order of preference.
- Recent passport-size photograph, Signature, and Valid Photo ID proof (Aadhar/Passport/PAN/Voter ID/Driving License).
- Double-check all details before final submission.
- Ensure documents are uploaded clearly.
- Fee payment must be done online via Debit/Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI.
- Fee varies for different categories (General, SC/ST, PwD, Female).
- After successful payment, submit the form.
- Download and take a printout of the application form for future reference.
